Can’t make it to your massage therapist to get those knots sorted?
Try a foam roller. Choose from standard-, high- and ultra-density options and get rolling.
A foam roller may look basic but it’s got some serious benefits and can put a real dent into those muscular knots and kinks. A self myofascial release tool, a foam roller can relieve muscle tension, increase flexibility, and even help correct muscular imbalances. Tightness and soreness can come from overuse, misuse, or injury.
Use it to roll over the hip flexors, IT band, hammies, glutes…anything really. The foam roller can be used as part of the warm up or cool down of a workout. Warning – it can really hurt but the relief is magnificent. Pause on those sore points before rolling again. Do this daily and you will see improvement in no time. Foam rollers of varying density and the bamboo option can be purchased at The Fit Bar. Check their website for retailers.
